Tividale Academy Under 11 v Newport Town 07/03/15 Cup Game
Jesse broke through within the first few minutes but put it wide. James had a long range shot that skimmed the crossbar just two minutes later. Kartell tried to shoot on ten minutes but the blocked shot fell to Jess to fire home from outside the area over the keeper making it 1-0. Ollie’s dazzling run down the wing nearly opened up for a strike from Thea but she mis-kicked.
Livvy saved their first shot of the game on about 14 minutes but Newport equalised just a minute laster after Tivi gave a foul throw and didn’t defend the resulting throw. Luke went on a run and his cross into box bounced over keeper and just skimmed the outside of the post.
Kartell’s had a further effort on goal on 20 minutes after Ollie and James played nice triangles but the keeper saved it but luckily Woody followed up and buried the rebound. Jesse and Thea played some nice one twos for Jesse to shoot but the resulting shot got blocked on 25 minutes, only for Kartell to pick up loose ball and fire home from edge of the box.

The second half saw Tividale start slowly and withstand about five minutes of Newport pressure which led to two one on ones, both of which Astle saved.
It took a penalty for Newport after some bad tracking and tackling by us to get us kick started again. Within three minutes of conceding the penalty, James flicked the ball over their defenders head, found Kartell unmarked just inside area who rifled into the roof of the net.
Ramiyah caused problem after problem for them with his pace. Newport couldn’t handle him which led to one of his crosses being palmed out by Newport’s ‘keeper to an unmarked Jesse, who tapped it into empty net.
Just two minutes later the same happened again but Jess’ shot straight at grounded keeper then had a rebound cleared off the line by a Newport defender.
Thea, Ollie, James, Ramiyah and Kartell all had several shots before our last goal eventually came after another Ramiyah cross led to a scramble in the box which saw the ball again fall to Kartell outside the box, who’s long range effort ended up in the back of the net to complete what was an overall comfortable victory.
