TIVIDALE’s sponsorship drive is still very much a priority even though Buildbase were named the Club’s new principal sponsor last Monday on a two-year deal, according to Head of Communications, Steven Beech.
Beech joined Dale in November of 2014 and led the search for a new principal sponsor ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, but the 28 year old insists there’s a lot of work from a commercial point of view for the club to work on moving forward.
He said: “I’m delighted with Buildbase becoming our principle sponsor, for sure. But that’s the ‘big one’ done. There’s much more work to be done moving forward.
“From a commercial point of view this club has struggled for a long, long time, that’s the harsh reality. It’s nobody’s fault – these things happen.
“But we have changed the structure, we’ve set a strategy that we wish to follow as we look to the future, and we will stick with those plans.
“Buildbase have been fantastic but they can’t do it all on their own. Yes, our deal is lucrative, but that’s not a reason for me to sit at home, put my feet up and watch Coronation Street for the next twelve months, is it?
“I’ll be working harder than ever to bring in further sponsors to this football club. I’m not foolish enough to think it’s mission accomplished by any stretch of the imagination.
“I know what we need to do and, like always, we will deliver.”
