Leek Town won the third game between the two sides in eight days to bag themselves a plum tie at home to Boston United in the next round of the FA Cup.
Tividale will wonder what they had done wrong in previous lives as luck once again deserted the boys from the Black Country. This time though, it wasn’t a poor refereeing decision that cost Tividale, but instead a slice of poor fortune, as a harmless-looking drive across goal from a Leek player caught the outstretched leg of Mitchell Botfield and deflected past a luckless Charlie Price in the Tivi goal.
