Tividale FC 1-5 Coleshill Town FC
Tividale Coleapse in horror show![]()
When you thought it could not get any worse Tividale came up with this performance. 17 days ago Coleshill heaped praise on a young side that battled away and played some tremendous football but were outdone by an individuals’ brilliance. But this was a poor shadow of that team.
The visitors will not gain an easier three points this season or any for that matter as Tividale never laid a glove on them. Coleshill were ahead after just 8 minutes when a Dean Rathbone corner was cleared back to him and his cross was glanced home at the near post by Tividale old boy Craig Milligan. On 19 minutes Coleshill were 2-0 up when Milligan fired home from the edge of the box.
Tividale had their first chance on the half hour when after some neat work from Dan Smith his cross was sent just wide by Harvey Walker. Liam Smith then put through his namesake Dan but his shot was blocked by Coleshill keeper Paul Hathaway.
Coleshill extended their lead on 38 minutes when the lively Simeon Cobourne latched onto a Dean Rathbone through ball, rounded Tividale keeper Tom Hayward and rolled the ball into the back of the net

Tividale improved at the beginning of the second half and had some decent possession without threatening. But any chance of a Patriotesque comeback was extinguished on 55 minutes when what looked like an innocuous pass into the box had the Tividale defence in a state of panic and instead of someone taking responsibility they all dallied and Mykel Beckley stepped in and tapped the ball home.
Tividale got themselves a consolation goal in the 68th minute when Dan Smith was brought down and substitute Chris Bladen fired past Hathaway. 11 minutes later and Coleshill were awarded a penalty themselves when Milligan went down in the box and from the spot kick Milligan got up and completed his hat-trick.
In the dying minutes Tividale had another chance to reduce the deficit when they were awarded another penalty. This time the referee penalised a Coleshill defender for pulling back Bladen in the box, Again Bladen stepped up but this time he fired the spot kick over the bar to end a miserable afternoon for the home side.
