In a game that they had competed in for most of it. Once again Tividale went down to a mixture of poor decisions, indecisiveness and no confidence in front of goal.

They fell behind in the 4th minute when on loan Kidderminster Harriers striker Dan Sweeney gave was brought down in the box and skipper Reece Shilvock shot low past keeper Luke Kriskinans. Tividale were level 2 minutes later when a Lewis McPike free kick found it’s way to the backpost and  Jamie Hunt swept the ball home.

On 11 minutes Swifts Joe Phillips was given the freedom of Tividale’s penalty area but he shot wide. Phillips made amends 0n 20 minutes when he was again unmarked when heading home a Sweeney cross. On the half hour Joe Kenton was foiled a second equaliser when his pile driver was well saved by Swifts keeper Lewis Gwilliam.

On 39 minutes Swifts made it 3-1 when Sweeney fired home via the post after more good work and cross from Phillips down the left. Right on the stroke of half time Kriskinans was called upon again to deny Phillips with another great save.

Tividale came out for the second half with a lot more intent and McPike forced Gwilliams into an excellent save, turning his shot out for a corner.

Just as it seemed that the home side were getting back into the game they again let Phillips stride through unchallenged on 71 minutes and then he unleashed a 20 yard pile driver that Kriskinans could not stop from hitting the back of the net.

Tividale again set about their business and again were looking good until the final third. Hunt tried his luck from distance but never troubled Gwilliams. and a Craig Stevens cross was headed over by substitute Darragh Bustin. Then with 8 minutes to go Dan Smith beat Gwilliams to a long range pass, rounded the keeper but his shot was blocked by Swifts defender Jim Hanson.

With 5 minutes to go Swifts added a 5th when again Sweeney was brought down in the box and Shilvock stepped up and beat Kriskinans from the spot again.
