This time up Tividale are away at the WMRL Premiers form team in what looks like it’s going to be a thriller. While Tividale will be looking to bounce back after last Saturday’s draw against Dudley, Lad’s Club will try to ensure that there brilliant recent form continues. A four match winning streak run that includes wins over Black Country Rangers, AFC Bridgnorth, Wellington and Shawbury United.
THE HISTORY
The sides have already met this season with Tividale beating Lads Club in a fiercely contested encounter at The Beeches. A Jamie Cuthbertson own goal gave Tividale the half time lead. The game was remembered for Tom Hurdman scoring his first ever Tividale goal in 96 appearances to put the home side 2-0 up. Zac Sirrell cut the arrears in the 50th minute and gave Tividale a nervous few minutes until an audacious 40 yard free kick from Lee Smith wrapped up the points.
In the 2017-2018 season the honours were shared with Lads Club taking the spoils down in Hereford. Goals from Dan Herbert and Tom Harding giving them a 2-1 win. With Tyree Clarke on the score sheet for Tividale.
Tividale came back from 2-0 down to win the return fixture at The Beeches. Adam Hockley and AshleyLear put the Lads in firm control going into the final 17 minutes. But a 10 minute goal rush turned the game on it’s head. First Tyree Clarke converted on 73 minutes. A Lee Smith glancing header levelled things up after 76 minutes. Then Dan Smith slid home the winner.
