Birmingham Floodlit Cup
Final
Atherstone Town FC v Tividale FC
Tuesday 23rd April 2019
Kick off at 7.45pm
THE FACTS
Well after Saturday’s celebration we can now go and enjoy our couple of cup fixtures starting with a Birmingham Floodlit Cup Final at Sutton Coldfield Town FC against Total Motion Midland Football League Division One side and the current holder’s of this cup Atherstone Town.
This season Atherstone are playing at the same level as us and at the moment they are in the same position as Haughmond. Likely to finish second and hoping they have a high enough PPG (Points per Game) to gain promotion. So we know that with the strength of that league and they are defending their trophy they will be a class act.
They have a similar tightknit squad as our own and so they will be a side that knows their system and will have complete faith in the team mates around them. Dangermen are wide midfield player Jonathon Gould and their top goal scorer Alex Naughton with over 30 goals this season.
The last time we met was in the old Midland Football Alliance 2010-2011. It was our first season in that league and unluckily Atherstone were relegated in that season with 44 points. The highest point tally to ever be relegated in the old MFA
