MANAGER Ian Long is looking for a response from his players when they travel to The Greenfields Sports Ground to face struggling Market Drayton Town this weekend.
Tividale, who currently lie 13th in the table and eight points clear of the Gingerbread Men, lost yet another league game at The Beeches against Norton United on Tuesday night and leaves the club without a home league win since August.
He said “We’re looking to bounce back immediately after the defeat on Tuesday night.
“The performance was the worst I’ve witnessed since joining the club and it was totally unacceptable.
“Having said that, it was tough to score three goals during the game and still manage to come away with nothing.”
Long, who spent time with the Tividale Academy scholars earlier this week is hoping that the overall decent away record will see some points brought back to The Beeches come Saturday evening.
He added “Looking at the positives, Leek aside, our away form has been excellent of late.
“The game on Saturday certainly gives us an opportunity to pick up points ahead of our Walsall Senior Cup game at home with Sutton Coldfield Town next Tuesday night”.
Should Tivi progress next Tuesday night in the Walsall Senior Cup, they’ve been drawn away to Romulus in the next round with a date for the tie yet to be confirmed.
