Following Tividale’s 4-0 reversal at Kidsgrove Athletic, Club Captain Craig Milligan has advised the management team at The Beeches he wants to leave the football club with immediate effect.

Joint Manager Ross Thorpe spoke to the website about the news:

“Craig phoned me this morning to say he wanted to leave the club with immediate effect.

“Me and Phil worked hard over the summer to convince ‘Milly’ we wanted him to come and lead the team, and were naturally delighted when he said he would come.

“Since signing, Craig has moved house and was an integral part for his company in the completion of works at the new Grand Central complex in Birmingham so his availability was never going to be consistent which we knew from day one. We managed this situation as we also respect the fact he has a young family and understood it would be a challenging time for him.

“We had a very open conversation this morning, the travelling wasn’t helping, and he has told me he wants to stay and play locally, we have parted on good terms and we wish him well.

“The most important thing now is that the players who are still here prepare accordingly for Saturday’s FA Trophy fixture at Stafford Rangers.

“On behalf of everyone at Tividale Football Club, we want to take this opportunity to thank “Milly” for the three months he was at The Beeches and wish him well for the future.”
