Shepshed Dynamo FC 3-0 Tividale FC

No spark in Dynamo defeat

Tividale huffed and puffed in this their latest outing but never really laid a glove on their hosts as they slid to another defeat. Shepshed took control of the game from the kick off and never loosened their grip over the duration of the game.

The hosts had the first chance on 7 minutes when a Matt Gardner effort was deflected wide. Tividale launched their first worthwhile attack on 11 minutes but Harvey Walker fired wide. Tividale keeper Luke Kriskinans then did well to deny Shepshed going one nil up when he saved from Liam Read.  Tividale threatened again on 27 minutes when from a Lewis Probert free kick Craig Stevens found room in the box to get a shot away and Charles Wilson tried to wrong foot Shepshed keeper Laurie Pearson with a deft back heel but the keeper anticipated well and collected easily.

Shepshed opened the scoring on 34 minutes when from a through ball Michael Reeve powered through the Tividale defence and gave Kriskinans no chance with a thunderbolt of a finish.

The start of the second half was pretty even and it was 9 minutes in when Shepshed had the first real chance of the half when from a Josh Morrall corner, Jake Betts had a free header that was blocked by a Tividale defender. Then on  59 minutes Tividale’s defenders threw their bodies on the line when charging out to block another Gardner shot.

Shepshed were now cranking up the pressure on the visitors and it took a brave save from Kriskinans to deny Joel Carta on 68 minutes. Shepshed should have extended their lead on 71 minutes when after some great footwork from Matt Langham he put in a cross that evaded everyone apart from Read at the back post but he hit the post with the goal gaping.  They did add the second in the 80th minute when from another Morrall corner Joe Pheasant this time made the most of another free header from inside the 6 yard box. The visitors had a great chance to pull one back two minutes later when a Nathan Jones through ball was deflected into the path of Tividale sub Natalys Joao but he shot straight at Pearson. On 88 minutes it was three when Morrall turned from provider to scorer as he was given the freedom of the Tividale penalty area to waltz in and slide the ball past Kriskinans and into the net.

Tividale finished the game with a flourish when from a Probert corner Joao saw his header cleared off the line and back out to Lewis Smith but his header was again cleared and that was the last piece of action of the game..
