Thursday? Really? Oh okay then, must be time for another edition of From Communications Corner!
Did you enjoy Captain’s Corner with Craig Milligan yesterday? He’s a cheeky so and so, isn’t he? Saying my jokes are poor? Oh, you agree, do you? Well thanks for that, I love you too! 🙂
Well it’s been a busy week, two games in and I have to say I’m gutted for Ross, Phil, the coaching staff and players to have lost both games in the manner that we have done.
We were under pressure for large parts of the Shaw Lane game on Saturday but I thought the lads worked extremely hard and were well worthy of a point on the day, and it could have been all three.
I was gutted after the game on Saturday but there were many positives to take. And that trend continued at Newcastle on Tuesday night.
Overall I thought we played very, very well given these lads are new to one another, and it’s only been individual errors and lapse of concentration that mean we’ve no points on the board to date.
But I’m convinced that will change in the coming games and I hope you’re making the trip to Spalding on Saturday to get behind the team once again. The coach leaves The Beeches at 10:00 and if you’d like to book your place then email leon@tividalefc.com.
Tonight is the Annual General Meeting for 2015, and I hope that many members attend because this is the arena whereby everyone collectively can find out exactly where we are as a social club, as well as a football team.
As I’ve stressed on many occasions, we both need to compliment each other, we are as ‘one’.
I will be officially introducing myself at the meeting this evening, as this is the first AGM since I joined the Club last November.
And my message will be quite clear. We need to work together, harder, believe in one another and continue progressing both on and off the field.
I’m looking forward to telling you all about what my role is, where I feel we are right now as a Club from my perspective, and where I think we can aspire to be if we continue improving.
Memberships are now also due for renewal, and the AGM will be bringing you details of our new monthly prize draw that you’re able to enter by either renewing or becoming a new member of Tividale Football & Social Club.
I’m getting a little disappointed in Richard Harrison, by the way. He’s not giving me any ammunition at the moment to add further incidents to the ‘Roll of Honnourrrrr’ of late. Won’t be long, trust me 🙂
Like the jukebox? Well it’s all yours again this Saturday evening as part of Bank Holiday weekend.
And the Baggies will be Live at 12:30 on Sky Sports this Sunday in the Social Club. Just wear a tracksuit and a cap, you will look the part #Pulis
See you at the bar, Submariners!
Steven.
