Goooood Morning all; welcome to this week’s edition of From Communications Corner!
As you may or may not know, the 2015-16 EVO-STIK Northern Premier League, Division One South fixtures were released this morning at 09:00 on tividalefc.com – I can feel the excitement already!
I’ve spoken to Ross Thorpe and Phil Male, and they’re pretty satisfied with the fixtures and the way they’ve turned out. Let’s be honest, you have to play everybody twice, it’s no big deal, really.
But we start the campaign on home soil against newly promoted Shaw Lane Aquaforce, which is always good. Aquaforce were champions of the Northern Counties East League last season, and Manager Craig Elliot has done a very good job there.
I look forward to welcoming Shaw Lane to The Beeches on Saturday, August 15th, and let’s be truthful, that’s not too far away now.
Thank you to everyone who made the trip to Bedworth for our opening pre-season friendly last Saturday. Although we were beaten 3-0 in the end, that doesn’t tell the full picture, I have to say.
I thought we played some excellent football in the first half and although pre-season games are predominantly to work on shape and fitness, there were plenty of positive signs for us to hold on to moving forward.
Our next pre-season game is away at Heath Hayes this Saturday (KO 15:00).
Season Tickets remain on sale, and you can book them online via tividalefc.com. Full season tickets remain on sale until Friday, August 14th, and Half Season tickets (10 League games of your choice) will be on sale throughout the campaign.
If you’d like to book one directly, then please liaise with Caz Wells in the social club.
Off the field and we’re now edging closer to completing our application for charitable status. There’s a lot of hard work taken place by a number of people for us to get to this stage, so thank you to all concerned.
If you’re in the club this weekend on Saturday night, then you’re in for a treat! Stuart Leigh takes to the stage from 20:00.
Our principal sponsors Buildbase continue their GET IN! campaign for the month of July, so pop down to their Cradley Heath branch on Powke Lane and fill their pockets at your leisure 🙂
Not much else to report, really. A little boring of me this week, yeah?
Don’t worry, I’ll think of some jokes, or ask Leon for some out of his collection. Then again, maybe not! I’m not over the pie and over the rainbow joke, yet!
Oh don’t get me started! 🙂
Right, see you at the bar, Submariners!
