Helloooo and welcome to this week’s edition of From Communications Corner!

Well first of all, isn’t it great that the new season is just around the corner? As soon as training begins, like we did on Tuesday evening, you sense that the new campaign is really upon you for the first time.

I didn’t attend the session on Tuesday but I’ve held a lengthy conversations with both Ross and Leon, and they were both extremely positive about what they saw.

It’s going to be tough for the next couple of months, there’s no doubt about that but we knew what the situation was so that is of no surprise to us, really.

The squad is likely to evolve regularly until Ross & Phil find their preferred formula, and I don’t think anyone will expect any different.

We play our first pre-season friendly next week at Bedworth and that’s when Ross and Phil will start working on team shape, start making final decisions on players ahead of the new season.

We will announce one or two signings next week, we’re just waiting for the final paperwork to be signed off as it were.

Caz has been working on the Online Club shop, and further details of this will be coming shortly on tividalefc.com, @TiviFCofficial and our Facebook page.

Half season tickets are now also on sale, and again you can find all the details here of our price range for the 2015-16 EVO-STIK Northern Premier League, Division One South campaign.

Off the pitch and thank you to everyone who attended the Tividale Summer Festival last Saturday, it was a great day!

Thanks to ‘Spiller’ for making the whole world aware on Twitter about myself and Leon trying to build the 5-a-side goalposts on the day. We didn’t do very well, did we?

In our defence, there was no instruction book 🙂 In the end, Livvy Wells and Jamie Sorrow came to our rescue, who have a combined age of below 20!!

The best part was when one of the academy coaches who was with me and Leon took a phone call from Lloyd McCormack.

Lloyd must have opened the call by saying “Hey Boss, you okay?”, to which he replied “Yes, fine thanks!”….

Me and Leon were like “NO WE ARE NOT” – having been stood there scratching our heads for near on an hour!

All in all it was a great day and I know that Cllr Ian Cooper and Cllr Maria Crompton were pleased with the event, too, which is great!

WACKY RACES also went down well last Friday evening, ‘TEAM MAX’ have done very, very well, and I for one are extremely proud of Julia, Dave and the team – you’ve done yourselves and Tividale proud, not only the Football Club but the local community as a whole.

See you at the bar, Submariners!

Steven.
