FORWARD Nigel Penney says Tividale won’t get distracted by their off field problems as they prepare to entertain Carlton Town at The Beeches tonight (KO 19:45).
Dale officials are currently in the process of drawing up their appeal against the rejection of Ground Grading category D last week and Penney insists that the players are full concentrated on the job in hand between now and the end of the season.
The former Halesowen Town star, 24, said “It’s not ideal, is it, really?
“But destiny is out of our own hands where that’s concerned, and we need to continue our fine run of form tonight against Carlton. We can control the football side – that’s what we’re paid to do.
“We came away with three extremely good points from their place on Saturday, we’re the form team of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, Division One South, and that’s what we need to concentrate on.
“It’s an unusual scenario to find yourself in but, like the manager said yesterday, Steven (Head of Communications) and Leon (Football General Manager) are working on our appeal, along with their fellow colleagues here.
“We, as a team, hold every faith in them to get the appeal upheld when they travel down to Wembley Stadium next week.”
