FORWARD Danny Priest is hoping to make an impression on boss Ian Long between now and the end of the season.

The 24 year old put pen to paper at The Beeches last Thursday night having completed his first training session following his move across the Black Country from Causeway United.

And Priest, who made his debut as a second half substitute in the 2-0 victory over Brigg on Saturday is looking to get more game time under his belt in the closing weeks of the campaign.

He said “I’m delighted to have joined Tividale, it’s a great club which is certainly moving forward and brings an opportunity for me to be in a new environment. I’ve been at Causeway a long, long time.

“I worked with Rich (Colwell) at Causeway and he had nothing but praise for the club when we were talking ahead of the move. Everyone is very friendly and I’ve been made to feel extremely welcome here.

“It was a good game to come on for my debut, we were in control at 2-0 but I can appreciate why the manager was a little bit upset afterwards because we didn’t carry out exactly what was being asked of us after the break.

“I’m looking forward to training hard this week and hopefully be involved again against Stocksbridge on Saturday. This is a new level of football for me and fitness is the key – the intensity of this league is very, very demanding.”
