Bewdley Town battled back to topple top of the table Tividale 3-1 at rain-swept Ribbesford Meadow.

It appeared to be business as usual when leading marksman Demetri Brown fired Tivvy into an early lead with a well angled drive.

But Bewdley replied when Ollie Mulders levelled matters from the penalty at the second attempt after Tivvy goalkeeper Ryan Cheshire had saved his initial shot.

Tivvy were then knocked back when Tom Smith sent Callum Martin racing clear, whose cross somehow deceived Cheshire as it dropped into the net.

It was Smith who also set up a third goal before half time when he crossed for striker Luke Sidaway to head into the path of Martin who made no mistake with his second goal which he fired in from the edge of the goalmouth.

Tivvy piled on the pressure in the second half but couldn’t repair the earlier damage.

Second placed Black Country Rangers couldn’t take advantage of Tivvy’s slip-up as their clash with Cradley Town was called off.

Shrewsbury side Haughmond have now leapfrogged ahead of Black Country after they snapped up a 3-0 win over Shropshire rivals AFC Bridgnorth.

Striker in form Steve Hole hammered home his second successive hat-trick to seal the points and take his league tally to 24 goals in the process.

Haughmond still have a huge task on their hands to catch Tivvy who stay 12 points ahead. But Haughmond have the luxury of three games in hand.

Wolves Casuals climb up to third place following their 3-1 win over third from bottom Wem Town.

Kieron Miller continued his fine form in front of goal with the opener before Joe Daley and Alex Foreshaw effectively wrapped up the points before half time, before Wem hit back with a second half consolation goal.

Malvern Town marksman Josh Hunt was also on the mark again in a 4-0 success over Shifnal Town.

Hunt struck either side of half time, his two goal salvo also taking his league total to 24 goals as well.

Further goals followed from Harry Clarke who also converted twice as Malvern move up to fifth place.

Dudley Town did their prospects of avoiding relegation a power of good as they plundered a 6-2 success over second from bottom side Pershore Town.

Owen Massey and Emils Fedotvos both bagged a brace of goals before half time to put the Robins into a commanding 4-0 lead.

Sam Hall and Jordan Davies increased the scoreline in the second half to make it six of the best.

In the only other game to survive the weather, Hereford side Wellington snapped up a 3-2 success at Shawbury United.

Wednesfield’s trip to Hereford Lads Club was called off as was Bilston Town Community’s clash with Dudley Sports.
